Hello Everybody.

Spring is here and the joint is jumpin’ at Ann Arbor’s 107one! Look for an interview with Roxy Music’s Bryan Ferry on an upcoming Fine Tuning program, where Bryan and I discuss his new Bob Dylan covers album, plus we’ll talk about that long-awaited Roxy reunion album.

I’ll also be airing soon on FT a taped performance with the intriguing singer-songwriter Laura Veirs, whose latest CD Saltbreakers is on the prestigious Nonesuch label.

I’m continuing to visit offices in the greater Ann Arbor area delivering more Martin Bandyke wall clocks along with coffee from Espresso Royale – register for an office visit by emailing me: martin@annarbors107one.com.

Had a nice time last week broadcasting live from the opening Wednesday at the A2 Farmer’s Market – thanks to everybody who stopped by to say ‘hi’! I have the pleasure of hosting Walk & Wag on Saturday, May 19 – this is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Humane Society of Huron Valley, which serves all of Washtenaw county. The event runs that morning from 9 a.m.-noon, rain or shine, and you are cordially invited to walk your dog, collect donations and have lots of fun. Info is at hshv.org.

Concert-wise I saw Elvis Costello at the State on May 11, and then of course there’s the fantastic news that Bob Dylan is playing three shows in the area – Interlochen on July 10, Freedom Hill on July 11 and the Toledo Zoo on July 12 – will be there for at least two of those shows, plus I’m also looking forward to seeing Spoon play at the Cityfest in Detroit’s New Center area on July 4.

Music-wise I’m loving the new releases from Paul McCartney, Suzanne Vega, Cinematic Orchestra, Wilco and Githead…

Best,

Martin
