Stressed out by the election? Of course you are! Need a distraction? Of course you do! I have just the thing: Music and Movies with Martin Bandyke continues this Wednesday, November 6th when I host a screening and discussion of “The Stones and Brian Jones” at the Chelsea District Library.
Directed by Nick Broomfield, this compelling documentary features insightful interviews with fellow musicians plus a ton of previously unseen archive footage. “The Stones and Brian Jones” explores the creative genius of Jones, who was key to success of the band, and uncovers how the founder of what became the greatest rock ānā roll band in the world was left behind in the shadows of history.
The screening is at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and is absolutely free, plus I’ll be giving away more Martin Bandyke coffee mugs and ann arbor’s 107one t-shirts to the first 20 attendees. Please register for the screening at chelseadistrictlibrary.org — see you in Chelsea on Wednesday!
