This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring “World’s Gone Wrong,” the 16th album by Lucinda Williams, one of music’s greatest singer-songwriters. Sounding the alarm for America’s soul on this riveting collection of ten protest songs, she doesn’t offer any easy solutions for the devastating times we’re living in. But over the course of her new album she also provides a measure of hope, resilience, and much needed solidarity. Also in the mix on the show will be a 79th birthday tribute to Dave Davies of The Kinks, and a 76th birthday tribute to Mike Campbell of Tom Petty’s band the Heartbreakers.
