Lenny Kaye has been playing guitar in Patti Smith’s band for many decades, and before that he was an accomplished music critic, writing for top publications like Rolling Stone, Creem and Melody Maker. With a career that goes back some 60 years, it’s hard to believe that Lenny has never released a solo album until now! This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring tunes from Lenny’s superb, just-released solo debut “Goin Local,” plus I’ll have a birthday tribute to Garth Hudson of The Band, who would’ve turned 89 on August 2nd.
