I’ll be all over the musical map on Fine Tuning this Sunday! First off will be a tribute to bassist Fred Smith of the New York City rock band Television, who passed away on Feb. 5th at the age of 77. After that will be new music by Hiss Golden Messenger, the fantastic Americana group led by singer-songwriter MC Taylor. Listen in for HGM tour and album info as well. Also in the mix will be an 86th birthday tribute to Motown legend Smokey Robinson (pictured), and closing out the show will be songs from the very listenable and very obscure 1969 album “Looking Back,” by Gordon Jackson. Jackson’s album features all four original members of Traffic, including Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
