This evening at 6:30 p.m. I’ll be hosting a free screening of the Oscar-winning documentary “Summer of Soul” at the Chelsea District Library, and I cordially invite one and all to see this extraordinary film, directed by Questlove (Ahmir Thompson). Focusing on concerts that took place at the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, you will see incredible performances by Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, The Staple Singers, Nina Simone and many others. And to top things off I will be giving away Martin Bandyke coffee mugs, wall clocks and ann arbor’s 107one swag to the first 20 attendees. More info at chelseadistrictlibrary.org — see you tonight!
