This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll feature “Dark Matters,” the first studio album in nine years by the Stranglers. “Dark Matters” is dedicated to Dave Greenfield, the band’s keyboardist for forty-five years, who died in May of 2020 of COVID-19. Dave is featured on eight of the album’s eleven songs, and he has never sounded better than he does here. Also in the mix will be new music from Jose Gonzalez, Johnny Marr and Steve Gunn, plus I’ll have a birthday tribute to the late, great Leonard Cohen. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
