Hi Everybody.
What an incredible week for music this has been in Ann Arbor!
To kick things off I welcomed Tally Hall back to my morning show last Tuesday for an interview. The guys were kind enough to play — for the first time anywhere — a song off their much-anticipated 2nd album Good & Evil, due out later this year.
Then on Tuesday afternoon I had the pleasure of being the emcee at Borders 01 for a sensational performance by the Avett Brothers before a jam-packed crowd.
And to top things off, I witnessed Kinks leader Ray Davies in peak form at the Michigan on Thursday night, playing hit after hit along with rare gems with the Kinks catalogue. An enthralling, emotional night of music with one of the greatest singer-songwriters on the planet.
This Tuesday, March 16 I’ll be speaking at the grand opening of The Orpheum, a new music studio at Ann Arbor’s teen center The Neutral Zone. The event is free and runs from 4-7pm. More info at

Best,
Martin
