It was so great to meet many of you at the 107one live music stage at the Ann Arbor Art Fairs last week. Thanks for coming out in the hot weather!. I heard some incredible local bands — see my July 30 Fine Tuning playlist, 5 p.m. hour, to check them out.
This Tuesday, August 1, 107one and our sister station WLBY (Air America) are staging an on-air fundraiser for the Ann Arbor Film Festival, which lost state funding because of the controversial films it presents. Joining me Tuesday on the air will be actor/theater empresario Jeff Daniels and Detroit film critics Terry Lawson, John Monaghan and Tom Long, among others. If you’re inclined to support this worthy cause, tune in Tuesday on the air or online.
Meanwhile, 107one’s Listener Co-op continues to seek your input on its musical selections. They’ve crunched the first batch of responses with eye-opening results, and round two is underway. I know your time is valuable. Respond if you can.
