I just got back last night from a quick trip to Toronto where I saw the extraordinary exhibition “1964: Eyes of the Storm” at the AGO – Art Gallery of Ontario. The exhibit features over 250 photos taken by Paul McCartney in 1963 and 1964, a pivotal era when The Beatles became international stars and achieved unthinkable levels of popularity. I highly recommend you see the show, which ends its run at the AGO on Sunday, June 7th. In the album spotlight today on Fine Tuning I’ll be playing the first six songs from Paul McCartney’s new album “The Boys of Dungeon Lane,” his first album in over five years, and an absolutely brilliant collection of songs that are both revealing and revelatory. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
