This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll have a major birthday tribute to the legendary Neil Young, who turns 80 on November 12th. Also in the mix will be a tribute to the brilliant upright bass player Danny Thompson, who died on September 23rd at the age of 86. A founding member of the British folk-rock band Pentangle, Danny went on to become an in-demand session player, playing on albums by Kate Bush, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, John Martyn and many, many others.
