Cass McCombs is an absolutely brilliant singer, songwriter and guitarist whose latest release “Interior Live Oak” was my favorite album of 2025. Britain’s The Guardian newspaper calls him “one of indie-rock’s finest,” and Pitchfork says “his music offers a fascinating tangle of character studies, mythic layers and barbed humor.” This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring lots of songs by Cass along with an interview I did with him earlier this month.
