Tomorrow on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring “The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1,” the fifth album by the acclaimed indie rock band Lord Huron, whose four members originally hail from Okemos, Michigan. I will also play an interview with Lord Huron’s lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Ben Schneider (far right in photo), taped just a few days ago. Ben & I had a fun conversation about his band’s fantastic new album, and he also had lots to say about some of his favorite artists in music and film, plus thoughts on how to succeed in the tougher-than-ever music business. Also in the mix will be a tribute to the much-loved James “Jimmy” Lessnau, who brought countless local and national acts to Sully’s Blues Bar in my hometown of Dearborn. Jimmy passed away on July 11th at the age of 72 and will be dearly missed by many. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
