This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be playing songs from the new Bob Dylan box set “Through the Open Window,” which tells the story of his emergence as a songwriter and performer, from Minnesota to the Greenwich Village folk scene where his inspiration took flight in the early 1960s. This magnificent eight-cd compilation includes dozens of previously unreleased live, studio and home recordings, plus rare photographs and deeply-researched liner notes. Also in the mix will be tunes from Dusty Springfield, Neil Young, Iron & Wine and Captain Beefheart. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
