This Wednesday, Sept. 11th at 5:30pm I have the pleasure of hosting a free screening and discussion of the documentary film “Set Apart: The Jim Abbott Story” at Chelsea First United Methodist Church. Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Abbott garnered some of baseball’s top accolades, winning the Sullivan Award, an Olympic Gold Medal, and throwing a no-hitter in Yankee Stadium despite being born with only one hand. Director Mike Ramsdell made his inspiring documentary about Jim Abbott in 2018, and will discuss his film with me after the screening. Please join us! The event is presented by the Chelsea District Library and will take place at Chelsea First UMC, 128 Park Street. More info at chelseadistrictlibrary.org.
