This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring “Live at the Fillmore, 1997,” by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Tom and his band played a 20-night stand at the legendary San Francisco venue in early 1997, and this new release from the archives includes classics like “You Wreck Me,” “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” and “American Girl,” plus tons of cool cover versions of songs by the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, the Who, and Booker T. & the M.G.’s.
