I’m truly looking forward to featuring “Not About to Die,” a collection of Wire’s 1977-1978 studio demos, on Fine Tuning this weekend. Widely bootlegged decades ago but never officially released until now, “Not About to Die” shows the band slowly moving away from the punk rock sound of their incisive debut album “Pink Flag.” It’s a fascinating document from one of my favorite bands in the known universe. Also in the mix will be new songs from Cass McCombs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Broken Bells, plus birthday tributes to John Lee Hooker and Elvis Costello. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
