This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll feature “Another Side,” a previously unreleased album recorded in the 1970’s by Leo Nocentelli, one of the founding members of the legendary New Orleans band the Meters. This fantastic album—which could have easily become a classic in the ‘70s singer-songwriter canon—sat untouched for decades; miraculously surviving the devastating blow of Hurricane Katrina, only to be found 2,000 miles away at a Southern California swap meet in 2018 by record collector Mike Nishita. Also in the mix will be songs from “Barn,” the brand new release by Neil Young & Crazy Horse, plus I’ll do birthday tributes to Tom Verlaine of Television and Keith Richards of the Stones. Fine Tuning: Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. on ann arbor’s 107one.
