This Easter Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll feature “Breathe,” the new album from the legendary jazz organist Dr. Lonnie Smith. Most of Lonnie’s latest was recorded live in 2017 at the Jazz Standard club in New York City. The opening and closing tracks (covers of Timmy Thomas’ “Why Can’t We Live Togther” and Donovan’s “Sunshine Superman”) are recent studio recordings done with special guest Iggy Pop on vocals.
