This Sunday in the album spotlight on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring “Black Hole Rainbow,” the debut full-length album by Devon Gilfillian. I’ll also play the MC5’s “Back in the USA” album in its entirety; it may be hard to believe, but that album was released 50 years ago next Wednesday! Also in the mix will be birthday tributes to ex-Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor, who turns 70 on January 17; and the late New Orleans composer, arranger, songwriter, keyboardist and vocalist Allen Toussaint, who would have turned 82 on January 14.
