This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring ‘Secular Hymns,’ the new album from vocalist and guitarist Madeleine Peyroux (pictured). Recorded in a small British church, Madeleine and her band cover songs written by Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Willie Dixon, Lee Dorsey, Townes Van Zandt and many other greats. Also in the mix will be new music from Okkervil River and Wilco, plus an intriguing collaboration between Joe Henry & Billy Bragg. Fine Tuning: 4 – 6 p.m. Sundays on ann arbor’s 107one.
