This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be featuring songs from the new Tanita Tikaram album “Closer to the People.” Tikaram (seen below) is the German-born singer-songwriter best known for her 1988 hit single “Twist In My Sobriety.” Also in the mix on FT will be songs from John Mellencamp (recent recipient of the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award), Prince, Merle Haggard, John Doe, Alejandro Escovedo and Chris Smither.
