This Sunday on Fine Tuning I’ll be paying tribute to singer-songwriter Dan Hicks (pictured below), who died on Feb. 6 at the age of 74. Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks were a truly unique band that blended western Swing, bluegrass, folk, pop & jazz, best known for the tune ‘I Scare Myself,’ memorably covered years later by Thomas Dolby. Also in the mix will be new music from James Hunter, Magazine’s Barry Adamson, Beta Band’s Steve Mason, and Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam. Fine Tuning: 4 – 6 p.m. Sundays on ann arbor’s 107one.
