2014 Sonic Lunch Preview With Martin Bandyke

This event is intended for adults and teens grade 6 and up.

Free music returns to Liberty Plaza in downtown Ann Arbor this summer as Sonic Lunch – presented by Bank of Ann Arbor – will once again feature an exciting blend of local and national acts. Get a sneak peek at this year’s fantastic Sonic Lunch series!

Martin Bandyke, morning host on Ann Arbor’s 107one, is joined by fellow 107one host & Bank of Ann Arbor’s Marketing Event Coordinator Matthew Altruda for a rundown of all the artists performing during the 7th season of Sonic Lunch. The evening will close with a live performance by the brilliant guitarist, Ann Arbor native and Sonic Lunch headliner Laith Al-Saadi, who has been called one of the top Blues guitarists in the country.

Started in 2008, Bank of Ann Arbor’s Sonic Lunch is a free summer outdoor concert series happening at the corner of Liberty and Division in downtown Ann Arbor.

Every Thursday from Noon to 1:30 pm June 6 to August 29, Sonic Lunch features a live band from an impressive array of talent in the region, as well as national and international acts. Each week a different area restaurant is on-site selling a Sonic Lunch for concert-goers to purchase. Other restaurants offer special discounts for concert-goers to pick up to take to the park. Sonic Lunch concerts are free and suitable for all ages. Seating is available but lawn chairs are welcome. Come join the crowds for an energizing mid-day break or just relax and enjoy the sounds.

Sonic Lunch is a collaborative effort spearheaded by Bank of Ann Arbor. ann arbor’s 107one and Morning Host Martin Bandyke provide promotional support and host each event. Bank of Ann Arbor’s Sonic Lunch is one of the coolest summer events in Ann Arbor.
