Hi Everybody.
Last Saturday’s Walk & Wag fundaiser for the Humane Society of Huron Valley was a smash success! The total amount raised was $156,9000 — an all-time record — and the turnout was nothing short of astounding. Thanks to everybody for showing up and participating — and we had beautiful weather to boot, a rarity this cool and rainy spring.
Next up will be Grillin’ — one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Food Gatherers, Washtenaw County’s food bank. Join me as I will once again emcee this event, which takes place at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds from 3-8pm on Sunday, June 12. Fabulous food, cool silent auction items and terrific music — all for an important cause. Tickets and details at foodgatherers.org.
Look for new music by John Martyn (his final studio album), Anna Calvi and Tally Hall on my next couple of Fine Tuning programs, heard Sundays at 4pm on Ann Arbor’s 107one.
