Bob Dylan and his band played an excellent show at the Fox Theater on Nov. 6, and it was very cool to see guitarist Charlie Sexton back in Bob’s group. Charlie added extra energy and oomph to the proceedings with each and every one of his guitar licks, and was instumental in making this night a special one.
Ready or not, the holidays are around the corner, and I want to remind you of two important things.
First off, please visit one of the Borders stores in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton and Novi and pick up 107one’s new CD “Live From Studio A2, Vol. 2,” with proceeds to benefit the Michigan Theater. With exclusive performances by Feist, John Hiatt, Vienna Teng, Indigo Girls and 12 others, the CD makes for a delightful Christmas gift. Great music for a great cause, and I urge you to grab copies while they last.
Next up, please stop by the Busch’s Market in Ann Arbor on the corner of S. Main and Ann Arbor-Saline Road from Wednesday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 6, when 107one goes Rockin’ for the Hungry in support of Food Gatherers, Washtenaw County’s food bank.
Please bring non-perishable food items to donate, or else donate by cash or check to help Food Gatherers help people in need. The whole 107one crew will be on hand to help out — hope to see you there.
