This Wednesday through Sunday I will be broadcasting live from outside the Busch’s market at the corner of Main and Ann Arbor – Saline Rd. as part of 107one’s “Rockin’ for the Hungry” benefit for Food Gatherers, Washtenaw County’s food bank. Please stop by with non-perishable food items or a donation of cash or a check to help those in need in our community. 2008 has been a staggeringly bad year for Michigan’s economy and there are more people than ever in desperate need of something to eat, so please visit Busch’s and make a contribution. I’ll be there from 6-10am this Wed. through Sat (Dec. 3-6) and from noon ’til 3 on Sunday (Dec. 7).
If I have any energy left on Dec. 7 after “Rockin'” wraps up I will be heading to the Palace of Auburn Hills to see Neil Young and Wilco in concert. Neil is doing pretty much a greatest hits show on his current tour, and I am hoping to both interview him for the Detroit Free Press and say ‘hi’ to him backstage after the concert — we’ll see how all that goes.
I will run down my Top ten albums of 2008 on the Dec. 14 edition of Fine Tuning on 107one, and promise to have them posted here the following day.
Where has this year gone?? Can’t believe it’s top ten time…
