Hi Everybody.

Well I won’t be at the first Rothbury Festival this weekend, as I’ve chosen to stay closer to home and hit some shows at the Comerica CityFest in downtown Detroit. I’ll be checking out Ann Arbor’s hometown heroes Tally Hall tonight, then Saturday I’ll be back at CityFest to see the great Calexico in concert. Will be interviewing them beforehand – I’ll air that interview in late August or ealy September, closer to the release date of their new album Carried To Dust.

Had a blast hosting Studio A2 performances on my morning show this week by American Mars and Nomo, and next week I’ll be interviewing the Executive Directors of the four Ann Arbor Art Fairs. Also cooking up an interview with Mr Jeff Daniels, who’s busy with a number of new projects. Will let you know when that one will air as well.

Oh yeah, Ellis Serras (of the A2 Main Street Area Association) and guests will be on the morning show this coming Thursday (7/10) to talk about the Rolling Sculpture Car Show, and my buddy Russ Collins will be on Friday (7/11) to talk about upcoming films at the Michigan Theater.

The week after that it’s time for the Ann Arbor Art Fairs, and 107one will be hosting 4 days of free, live music on stage at the South U Fair at the corner of Church and Willard. This runs from Wed., July 16 through Sat., July 19 with our dear friend Matt Nathanson headlining the proceedings at 8pm on Friday, the 18th.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July, everybody – let freedom ring!
