Just finished a live remote broadcast from Conor O’Neil’s Pub in downtown Ann Arbor. What a blast! People were indeed lined up to get in at 7 a.m. I truly enjoy these radio road trips, and meeting listeners who turn up to say hello. Maybe one of these events next week fits into your schedule.
At 12:30 p.m. this Wednesday, March 22, I’ll be at Borders in downtown Ann Arbor, hosting a live performance by English singer/pianist Jamie Cullum. These free concerts, part of ann arbor’s 107one’s Acoustic Lunch series, have been great thus far.
And from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, March 25, I’ll be spinning at the grand opening of Jimz Jamz, a new music store in downtown Oxford. Earlier that day, from noon-2 p.m., Brazil and Beyond will perform live at the store (24 S. Washington, 248-628-3047).
Great news! The station is just about ready to flip the switch to launch the Web streaming of its signal. We’re talking just days from now. I hope this will allow me to reconnect with listeners outside of 107one’s broadcast area.
Please check out my morning program, 6-10 a.m. weekdays, as well as my new weekend freeform program, Fine Tuning, airing 4-6 p.m. every Sunday. I’ve posted the first few Fine Tuning playlists for your perusal. Check them out at right.
