Sometime over the holidays, I hope you find a moment to sit down with a glass of something you like and listen to Vince Guaraldi’s “Charlie Brown Christmas” CD. Kim and I will be thinking of you as we do exactly that. I’ve already received the best present ever – your heartfelt support And I’ll never forget the contributions you’ve made all along, which put my midday radio program at the top of the fundraising heap time and again, surpassing donations made to NPR drive-time news programs. It’s my sincere hope that we will share great music, together, in 2006.
In fact, we can do just that, if only for one night. Please join me at iLounge in Pontiac on Friday, January 13, where I’ll be spinning music spanning my broadcast career beginning at 9 p.m. I would love to see you Club owner Amir Daiza is generously donating proceeds to yours truly. Cover is $10; iLounge is part of the Clutch Cargo’s complex, at 65 E. Huron, Pontiac. Call the club at (248) 333-2525 for details.
As a special treat, I’ll also be presenting some hot new music, from Ray Davies, Beth Orton, and an incredible young band out of Ann Arbor, Tally Hall.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Everybody!
